Is Lisbon safe for students?
Lisbon is a very safe city for students! As with any big city, most areas have a good reputation, and if you choose good student accommodation, you can rest assured that it will be safe.
What is public transport like in Lisbon?
Lisbon has a well-connected public transport system, including metro, buses, trams and trains. The metro is the quickest way to get around, and the monthly pass (Navegante) costs around €30, if you are a student it is free!
Saldanha is mainly a restaurant and office area, which is only a 20-minute walk from the University City, which is the student hub of Lisbon. Our Residence is located close to the Instituto Superior Técnico and Arco do Ceco, a meeting place for the various Lisbon faculties.
Does Saldanha have a student atmosphere?
Although most neighborhoods are safe, it is advisable to be more cautious in some parts of Intendente, Martim Moniz and Cais do Sodré at night, where there may be a higher number of thefts and unwanted approaches.
